Karin Timpone

Karin Timpone

Karin Timpone is Global Marketing Officer at Marriott International. In this role, Karin leads the integrated global marketing and consumer relationship management strategy for the company. This includes evolving the strategy to strengthen the relevance of Marriott’s portfolio of brands to the Next Generation Traveler. Under Karin’s leadership, the global marketing team has integrated new brands into the portfolio, grown its loyalty member base, innovated new digital marketing platforms, pioneered an industry-first content studio and global social media command centers, as well as introduced new global marketing partnerships in sports, entertainment, travel and technology.

Karin joined Marriott from the Walt Disney Company, where she was the Senior Vice President, Product Strategy + Marketing for Disney ABC Digital Media. While there, she set up the first-ever digital media product strategy and marketing team for the company and led consumer strategy for brands such,,, and Disney Channel and and the introduction of award-winning mobile products. Prior to the Walt Disney Company, Karin was head of Marketing for Yahoo! Media Group as well as Consumer/Customer Innovation. She also served as senior marketing executive at the Seagram Company where she helped lead strategy for a broad portfolio of brands, including Absolut Vodka. She has extensive experience working in product marketing and new product development for various Fortune 500 companies in both the U.S. and internationally.

Karin is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College where she obtained her B.A. in Political Science. She received a Master’s degree in Media Ecology at New York University and executive education at UCLA Anderson. She has dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Ireland.

William J. Bethune

William J. Bethune

Bill handles transactions and counsels clients offering a wide variety of professional services in the biotechnology, life settlement, government contracting, information technology, and continuing medical education industries, among others. In his career, Bill has handled litigation and arbitration involving a wide range of business disputes including computer trespass, misappropriation of trade secrets, diversion of corporate opportunities, breach of covenants not to compete, interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.

Bill has represented creditors in bankruptcy contested matters and adversary proceedings involving objections to claims and priority and dischargeability of claims. In his work with clients, Bill has delivered legal solutions to retain, deploy, compensate, and support key personnel; to acquire and protect intellectual property rights; and to safely hire, evaluate, and discharge employees. His work with clients has included designing and implementing plans for ownership succession; selling, acquiring, protecting and disposing of assets; and establishing and disposing of control and minority interests in businesses. Bill has also handled entity governance disputes at all stages, from the board room to the court room.

Richard Johnston

Richard M. Johnston

Richard M. Johnston played football at the University of Pennsylvania prior to graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in advertising. He began working in politics in 1990, directing a series of winning legislative and congressional campaigns in Florida. He joined Public Concepts in 1993, and brought to the firm expanded technical and creative expertise leading to the development of over ten million pieces of direct mail throughout Florida in 1996 alone.

For more than 20 years Johnston has served as general consultant and/or strategic advisor to corporate, trade association and political clients and conducted campaigns throughout Florida and across the nation.

His work was honored by The Wall Street Journal with the distinction of "Best Crime Issue Mailer" of the 1994 election and has received numerous "Addy" and "Pollie" awards for creative campaign messaging over the years. He brings to the firm a keen understanding of marketing and advertising principles and their application to political campaigns and public affairs.

A native of West Palm Beach, his family has deep roots in Florida’s business community dating back to the 1940’s. He currently resides in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife Maureen and their three children.
